Get ready for an exciting day of outdoor adventure in the jungles of southern Veracruz! The Los Tuxtlas area is a wilderness of green forested-covered dormant volcanic hills, two major tropical warm water lakes, and slow-meandering rivers and streams. Up in the hills you will discover beautiful hidden waterfalls cascading into crystal clear pools below. These pristine natural pools are waiting for you to sooth your body in its cool mountain-fed waters. Step off the beaten path and follow one of our local bilingual guides as he or she leads you on a full day of tropical adventures.

Itinerary:
Your group will travel approximately 2½ hours south to the lakeside town of Catemaco. After a quick stop to stretch and use the washroom, your journey continues overland on a scenic ride around Lake Catemaco to a small river. It is there everyone can play in the shallow clear waters and also have a picnic lunch. We will then paddle in kayaks down the river and into Lake Catemaco and to the town of Tebanca. After storing the kayaks, you will continue to travel by land up a rugged road into the green volcanic hills to a private ranch hidden deep in the jungle. You will discover walking trails cut into the jungle forest which leads to three magnificent waterfalls with crystal clear pools below. The day is yours to swim, relax, and enjoy the tranquility of this hidden oasis. You may want to let the power of one of the waterfalls massage your body. Later your group will return to Catemaco to explore and shop. In the evening, you will return to the city of Veracruz.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund will be given if notification is received not later than 3 days prior to the departure time and date.
If you cancel 1-2 days prior to the departure date and time, a refund of 50% of the trip cost will be issued to you.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the departure time, no refund will be issued.
